Jyoti practices in the areas of family law and immigration law, bringing both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work. Jyoti offers clients both strong legal guidance and firsthand insight into the complexities of Canada’s immigration system.
Prior to being called to the bar in B.C., Jyoti worked as a paralegal at the Legal Services Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General, where she supported complex civil litigation and coordinated a high-volume of legal matters.
A committed member of the legal community, Jyoti volunteers as a Board Member of the Victoria Bar Association and as an Executive Member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch). Fluent in English and Hindi, with conversational knowledge of Punjabi, she brings a multicultural and inclusive perspective to her professional and community engagements.
Jyoti also serves as a part-time public member with the Health Occupations Discipline Tribunal, contributing to fair, transparent, and accountable decision-making in matters of professional conduct and discipline within the health sector.
In all aspects of her work, Jyoti is guided by a deep commitment to fairness, integrity, and access to justice—principles that shape her approach to both family and immigration law.
