Emily Yee

Articled Student


Emily is from Richmond, BC. She completed a BA with distinction, double-majoring in psychology and philosophy at the University of British Columbia before obtaining her JD from the University of Victoria. During law school, she provided pro bono legal services as a student clinician through the Law Centre and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, co-writing a memorandum on decolonizing restorative justice practices in BC.

Throughout law school, Emily developed a keen interest in tax law and worked as a research assistant, focusing on Indigenous fiscal relations and taxation. She is excited to develop her tax law practice and gain experience in corporate law, wills and estate planning.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys watching and playing tennis, bouldering, and cooking.
