After obtaining a BA in Humanities and Comparative Literature from McMaster University, Carlyn worked abroad for several years and is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
While in England, Carlyn was a Legal Director at a top UK law firm, undertaking the investigation and civil prosecution of financial misconduct of company directors and bankrupts on behalf of the Secretary of State.
Carlyn returned to Canada in 2016 and worked as paralegal at the Legal Services Branch of the Office of the Attorney General, prior to qualifying in BC.
Carlyn articled with Jones Emery in 2022 and now practices exclusively in civil litigation, acting for plaintiffs in personal injury claims and undertaking ICBC defence work. Carlyn is also very keen to expand her practice to utilize her extensive knowledge of financial misconduct and asset recovery for the benefit of her new clients.
