Meghan Klymchuk
Articled Student
Meghan joined Jones Emery as a co-op student in January 2023, during her second year of law school. She returned to Jones Emery as an articling student in May 2024, following the completion of her Juris Doctor degree at the University of Victoria, Faculty of Law. Meghan practices mainly in civil litigation, and has a keen interest in constitutional law, especially in the context of civil asset forfeiture.
Although Meghan only recently completed her Juris Doctor, she has appeared in BC Provincial Court, BC Supreme Court, and before both the Residential Tenancy Board and the BC Human Rights Tribunal. During law school, Meghan completed a co-op term with the BC Attorney General, worked at The Law Centre and represented UVic Law at the 50th Anniversary Gale Cup Moot in Ottawa, Ontario. Moreover, Meghan brings her invaluable life experience and a unique perspective to her practice, having trained and worked as an electrician for over ten years prior to entering the legal profession.
Outside of the office, Meghan enjoys playing beach and court volleyball, watching Rugby 7’s and getting outside with her two dogs, Wilson and Tenzin.
