Emma graduated from the University of Victoria Law School in 2006. She was called to the BC Bar in 2007. From 2006-2012 Emma practiced mostly as an insurance defense lawyer handling property damage and personal injury claims. From 2012-2016 Emma practiced in the areas of family law, wills and estates, and plaintiff personal injury. Emma has conducted trials in both the BC Provincial and Supreme Court for family and personal injury matters, and has also mediated many personal injury and family matters. Emma joined Jones Emery Hargreaves Swan in July 2016 and currently practices as a general civil litigator, with a focus on plaintiff personal injury, ICBC litigation, and family law.
Emma was born in Toronto and moved to BC in 1996. She is grateful every day for having moved to paradise and takes advantage of Vancouver Island’s fantastic playground by paddle boarding, running by the ocean and in the woods, hiking and cycling. When not recreating, Emma likes to play her piano and, if time permits, write fiction.
