Called to the British Columbia bar in 2001, Claire initially articled in Victoria before moving to the mainland to begin her practice as a litigator. She conducted trials at the Provincial and Supreme Court levels as a federal prosecutor and civil litigator for a number of years before moving back to Vancouver Island to practice civil litigation.

Claire is committed to resolving disputes prior to trial, and her approach is to defuse difficult situations through negotiation. In matters that cannot readily be resolved, Claire is mindful of the added expense of the court process, and makes concerted efforts to keep the parties focused on solutions.
